Whether you missed it, or just want to savor the moment, here’s a little recap on what some are calling “party of the year!”
At the Revere Hotel’s Liberty Hall, partygoers were welcomed into a transformed world buzzing with digital projections, immersive installations, and even a moon spinning above the crowd.
Guests gathered for our first Benefit Art Sale in support of the BAR writer’s fund, featuring phenomenal works by Boston’s top contemporary artists. Even if you missed the in-person sale, you can still shop for available works here while supporting us and the artists at the same time!
A huge thanks to our sponsors and partners, including Revere Hotel for hosting us, Illuminus for making our video projection dreams come true, Pneuhaus for the inflatable (bounceable) seating, and the Boudoir resident DJs for the electric dance floor energy. Bonus thank you to Brian Zink and Jim Manning for their day-of install assistance!
Special thanks to our featured artists Sarah Brophy, Jaina Cipriano, Darby, and NikuAI for lending their artwork to the 5-channel video projections, and Jaina again for her interactive “tiny room” installation, and and Ilya Vidrin, Jessi Stegall and crew for a tender contemporary dance performance accompanied by the mesmerizing Brittany Karlson on double bass. Read more about the featured artists and collaborators here.
If you missed the remarks from our editor-in-chief Jameson Johnson and board members Gabriel Sosa & Gloria Sutton, here’s a little recap: parties are necessary to foster an engaged arts ecosystem in Boston, and our community’s support is crucial to making these events and the rest of our publication’s work happen. Thank you for being a part of the growing BAR community!
